Upon entering, the accommodation comprises a spacious sitting room with a dual aspect, allowing ample natural light. The recent addition of a log burner provides an attractive focal point and creates a cosy atmosphere in the colder seasons. The sitting room seamlessly flows into the dining area and kitchen beyond. The kitchen features an integrated fridge, a separate freezer, as well as space for a dishwasher and a range-style cooker. Patio doors lead out from the dining area and kitchen to the sizeable garden. A cupboard off of the hall provides space and plumbing for a washing machine.

The first floor hosts two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, and a bathroom equipped with both a bath tub and a walk-in shower cubicle.

Externally, a driveway caters for off-road parking. The rear garden boasts a westerly aspect and is of an impressive size, predominantly laid to lawn with a patio area, shed, and well-established borders, offering a good level of privacy.

Why live in Middleton-on-Sea?

The development of modern Middleton began after World War I, when Captain H Rowlands S Coldicott purchased great swathes of farmland with a plan to create both a residential estate and a village community.

This led to the development of the private Sea Lane Estate, which is still a sought-after residential area today thanks to its proximity to the sea and local shops. There are also many pretty thatched properties in the area along with small retirement apartments, bungalows and large family homes that enjoy direct access to the sea while, in neighbouring Felpham, we have the glorious private Summerley Estate.

Middleton-on-Sea is within easy reach of Chichester and Bognor Regis and is a perfect setting for family life. We have two local schools, including the Bishop Tufnell Primary School and the Felpham Community College for secondary students, along with a day nursery for pre-school children. We also have a good range of shops for such a small village, including coffee shops, a Post Office, a family butcher, a general store, newsagent, fish and chip shops, gift shops, a florist and some friendly pubs.

At low tide, Middleton-on-Sea’s sandy beach stretches from Littlehampton to Bognor Regis and is a favourite for local dog walkers and those who enjoy the fresh air and tranquillity of the sea.  Elmer Sands, a mile east of Middleton, is a particular beauty spot, enhanced by the interesting rock islands that were built as a sea defence two decades ago and which have left rock pools and safe areas for swimming and beginner water sports. Over in Felpham you’ll find beachfront cafés, the Arun Leisure Centre, which has a swimming pool and a well equipped gym, and public tennis courts next to the Promenade.
