Celebrating 20 years at Henry Adams
If there’s anything you need to know about new homes, Caroline Crosby can help. Caroline joined Henry Adams Simply New Homes teams in June 2003 and has since sold more than 200 new homes in and around the Chichester and Bognor region.
“I’ve always enjoyed working out on the new homes sales offices for each development,” said Caroline. “I’m super-friendly so I love meeting buyers and helping them choose their next home. I like knowing everything there is to know about each new home. Every development and every new home is fresh every time. You’re part of the team on-site as well as knowing that everyone at Henry Adams is there for me, backing me. We’ve always had a good team, right from when I started 20 years ago. They’re very supportive.”
Caroline’s first jobs were in retail, including a spell at Harrods. A friend suggested she should apply to become a Site Sales Negotiator which she found she enjoyed as it fitted in around family life as she brought up her two daughters.
On joining Henry Adams, her first assignment was for Pye Homes, selling 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes in Selsey where she built up friendships with buyers as well as with the developer.
She’s since worked for renowned developers such as Antler Homes and Seaward Homes and is currently based at Bonham’s Field for Seaward Homes. “I love this scheme because it’s very different from anywhere else with family homes as well as single-storey cottages,” Caroline said. “Before this, I was selling at Priors Orchard in Southbourne, another Seaward Homes development which was probably my favourite development ever. There was just such a good rapport with Seaward and with the buyers as they moved in.”
Jane Barker, sales director at Seaward Homes, said, “Congratulations to Caroline on her 20 years with Henry Adams! We at Seaward have worked with her for more than half that time and it has always been a pleasure. Caroline has been a great support to me personally and has always been willing to go the extra mile to make sure that we achieve sales, that our sales offices and show homes present well, and that our customers are looked after during their sales journey. Thank you for all your hard work Caroline, it has been much appreciated by all of us here at Seaward Homes.”
Martin Leggett, head of new homes sales at Henry Adams added, “Caroline has worked for the Henry Adams new homes team for 20 years and has been a valuable asset to the company especially when working on our clients’ developments. She has the ability to adapt to our clients’ needs and has worked on many different developments in many different markets, promoting the best customer experience possible.
"Caroline takes pride in her work; she builds strong relationships with the clients but most of all the customer. Her relationship with the renowned developer Seaward Homes has built over many years of delivering sales and excellent customer service on their behalf. The key to her success is the way she nurtures customers over time until eventually they are able to purchase. They say people buy people well this is certainly the case with Caroline. We are all very proud to have such a dedicated member of the new homes team, we would all like to say thank you and congratulations for the last 20 years.”
When she’s not on site helping people choose their new home, Caroline enjoys looking after the youngest of her six grandchildren, taking advantage of the National Open Gardens scheme by visiting beautifully kept gardens, and the joys of fine dining.
“In all the years I’ve worked with Henry Adams New Homes, I’ve never been long between sites as one sells out and another is launched,” Caroline said. “Somehow it’s all just fallen into place for me.”
