In honour of Her Majesty's 90th birthday
The children, parents and staff at St Mary’s Primary School in Chiddingfold had a wonderful afternoon celebrating our Queen’s 90th Birthday.
James Grillo and Dee Tickner from Henry Adams, Haslemere were delighted with an invitation to attend the event and award medals to the children in each year group for ‘best crown’ and ‘best dressed’.
The children had put a great deal of thought effort into making their crowns and dressing in either royal regalia or red/white/blue. The afternoon began with Maypole Dancing by the talented children in Year 4 and ended with a tremendous spread of delicious cakes baked by the children, accompanied by a traditional British cup of tea! The sun shone, the children smiled and I think Her Majesty would have been proud to see the superb celebrations in her honour.
