The Great Sussex Bath Race
We’re excited to be launching a team in this year’s Great Sussex Bath Race which takes place on Sunday 12 June, when teams in tubs will be racing their rafts on a private lake near Chichester.
Our four intrepid ‘bathers’ from different lettings offices across the region are joining those raising funds for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice and LifeCentre through this unique event.
Nick Van Klaveren, Tammy MacLeod, Katarina Willmot and James Riley will be the team supplied with a bath, four large blue barrels, rope and long poles from which they will have to build their own contraption in which to cross the lake.
“This is the first time we’ve entered a team although the event has been running for four years,” says James. “It sounds a lot of fun and we’re really planning to pull out all the stops to be in with a chance of winning, but not the plug!
“Having fun while fundraising has to be a win/win situation anyway and we’d really appreciate any donations along the way. Moral support is also very welcome too and it certainly promises to be a great event and a memorable day - hopefully for all the right reasons!”
The event features heats throughout the day culminating in a demolition derby/grand finale and awards ceremony at the end of the afternoon.
