Grand Designs from Rose Green Infant School
Our team at Henry Adams in Bognor and Aldwick were delighted to be back with the children and teachers at Rose Green Infant School this term.
We set the children in Year 1 the challenge of designing their own dream room for our grand designs competition.
Gail Chisham, partner at Henry Adams for Bognor & Aldwick, and Dee Tickner, our community liaison coordinator, visited the school just before half term to launch the project.
“This is the ninth year of our ‘grand designs’ challenge and the standard has never failed to impress us all,” Gail told the children, “We can’t wait to see everyone’s grand plans for this year.”
The children were asked to think carefully about their choice of design for creating a room in a shoe box, and how they could furnish it using only reclaimed, recycled and reused materials. There were some fantastic ideas shared as children suggested plans for different rooms right up to an attic.
Three trophies and three medals will be awarded to children in each of the three classes by Gail who will be looking for design imagination, creative flair and exceptional effort.
From all of us here at Henry Adams, good luck to everyone taking part at Rose Green Infants School.
We hope you have lots of fun and we're looking forward to seeing all your designs!
