As the market modernises, alternatives to traditional cash deposits are becoming more common in an effort to make renting more affordable.
Henry Adams has been looking at this new market for some time to see how viable these schemes will be. Our management team have now decided that these schemes are here to stay and will be working with Zoopla-backed Zero Deposit going forwards. The keys reasons for this is that Zero Deposit is fully regulated and also offers adjudication through the Tenancy Deposit Scheme – our current cash deposits offer the same dispute resolution.
We feel it important to highlight that agents will earn a commission from introducing such policies and it is essential that this commission is declared to both landlords and tenants which we will do throughout the process.
