It's all about LOCATION!
Discovering all about an area is
key to making the most of your location, whether you’re moving home or joining
in with your local community.
So we set
children of Year 4 at Rose Green Junior School the challenge of producing a
brochure with the title ‘Rose Green Views’.
The
brochures should feature a descriptive introduction with some photos of the
area, a historical note or two with details of how Rose Green has changed over
the years, and a sprinkle of adverts for local businesses.
We’ve
also asked the children to freestyle a page of their choice so we’re looking
forward to seeing quizzes, puzzles, cartoons or to add something which is
simply different…
Year 4
will be out and about in Rose Green to interview businesses soon to find out
more about their village before putting together their brochures.
Gail
Chisham, partner at Henry Adams Bognor & Aldwick hub has also been to visit
the children with our community co-ordinator, Dee Tickner for a Question &
Answer session.
The
children had plenty of searching questions about Gail’s role as an estate
agent, including what makes a good estate agent. She explained that estate
agency is more than selling houses, it’s about helping people move home.
We’ll
be back at the end of term to present winning trophies and runner-up badges for
the best brochures. We’re looking for great effort, inspiring presentation and
learning something new about the area.
Good luck everyone, we are looking forward
to reading your brochures and then displaying them in the windows of our busy
office in Bognor Regis High Street to show what’s great about Rose Green.
