Meet the new Head of Residential Sales at Horsham
Nicholas Hapgood takes up the reins as Head of Residential Sales at Henry Adams in Horsham having been a successful estate agent for more than 18 years. He already knows the town well as he lives locally with his wife and two daughters, aged 12 and 8.
“I’ve lived in Horsham for 18 years and have been selling homes in Sussex and Surrey ever since,” said Nick. “I love the area, there’s always so much to do and it has a great community. We’re incredibly lucky around here with the schools. My daughters go to Millais and Holbrook so we have first hand experience of just how good the schools are.”
Nick chose a career in estate agency because he liked the idea of having a strong career path, spending time out and about seeing some amazing homes of all shapes and sizes and getting to know people as they go through such an important stage of their lives as moving home.
“I’ve always had some fun with the team I’ve worked with as well because I think that’s important too. Our business is all about people as well as properties, so it’s good to enjoy ourselves along the way.”
Previously Nick was an associate director at Hamptons, prior to which he had spent some nine years with Connells Group where he was most recently an Area Manager. Nick was keen to join an independent estate agency and Henry Adams was the natural choice.
“Joining an independent agency with a well perceived brand and the backing of a structured organisation of 16 branches meant this was a very easy decision. Henry Adams has great marketing and a great team here in Horsham, many of whom I’ve known for years having worked in Horsham already.”
Nick and his team are working very closely with their colleagues in the nearby Henry Adams lettings office and the company’s growing land & new homes teams.
Outside work, he is often to be found on the touchline as his elder daughter plays football for Horsham Sparrows.
