Designing your own Dream Room
Many of the Henry Adams sales and lettings managers have
been out and about visiting local primary schools over the past couple of weeks
where they’ve attended school assemblies.
They’ve been setting the
children the challenge of designing a dream room - and we can’t wait to see
what they dream up.
“We’re looking for inspired
room ideas with little touches which would be perfect for their chosen
character,” said Dee Tickner, Henry Adams’s community co-ordinator. “So
Paddington Bear would probably like an orange tree so he can make his
marmalade, maybe a bread maker, and definitely some family photos of his
relatives in Peru.”
Football fans might choose
a green striped carpet, a bed made of footballs and a shelf for all the
trophies of their favourite player. Equally it could be a kitchen for Mary
Berry or a bedroom for Sleeping Beauty. There’s plenty of scope to get those
young imaginations working overtime.
Younger children have been
asked to create a picture designing their own dream room, which could be as
imaginative and creative as they wish. We are
encouraging older children to try their hand at architecture by designing a
floor plan with detailed layouts of their rooms.
And our Henry Adams local
office managers will back to revisit the children later this term to judge the
entries. Prizes will be awarded to the winners in each year group in each
school.
“Secretly I’m hoping to see
some inventive royal palace rooms fit for the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex,”
added Dee. “But whoever the children choose to design for, they are always so
imaginative and we’re excited to see how their dream rooms take shape this
summer.”
