Winning Designs for Festive Fun
Children
have let their imaginations run riot to design their own perfect Christmas
jumpers for a competition in schools across the region.
Estate
agents Henry Adams called into the participating schools to announce the
overall winners, and each received a Thorntons reindeer
chocolate - wearing a Christmas jumper of course, and one winner in each year group was given a chocolate snowman lolly.
“We were blown away by the high standards of design and I certainly wouldn’t mind one of these crazy, cosy knits this winter,” said Dee Tickner, community liaison co-ordinator at Henry Adams, who masterminded the competition and joined in the winning celebrations dressed in her elf Christmas jumper.
Steve Tickner, partner at Henry Adams in Chichester, added, “It’s always a pleasure to engage with the children when we run a competition for them, and the design a Christmas Jumper challenge was no exception. The children were given just a week to enter at Parklands Community Primary and we received an overwhelming 146 entries! The standard was particularly high making the judging a real challenge, with many fabulous and creative designs from all ages.”
Jumpers are displayed in most of our local Henry Adams offices over the Christmas period and children are invited to visit to see their design displayed and pop into the office for sweets.
“After Christmas all children will get a thank you certificate for taking part and their design will be returned to them as we could see how much work went into them,” said Dee.
“It’s been a hugely popular competition with some very imaginative
and creative ideas - one winner drew 24 zipped pockets and each pocket would
contain a joke for every day of advent. The artworks were created with lots
of stickers, paints and pens, and plenty of glitter!"
