Was that really Batman and Robin flying by?
On their 55 mile cycle ride through West Sussex ‘Batman & Robin’ were spotted on a tandem by surprised onlookers last Thursday, 8 September, as they raised sponsorship money for The Aldingbourne Trust.
Their aliases, Martin Curry and James Pugh, are more usually to be found working on our many land transactions as Henry Adams has chosen to help raise funds for the trust.
“It was a fantastic day with six more of our colleagues along for the ride and together we managed to raise more than £2,500 in aid of The Aldingbourne Trust,” said Batman / Martin.
“We even managed to fit in a visit to the trust on our journey where they gave us a great welcome and much needed drinks.
“On reflection, the idea of dressing up as Batman & Robin might have been better had it not been such a fabulously sunny day - James and I were roasting as well as tired at the end of it!”
The team set off on their epic journey from St James Place, Clanfield, a development by Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, visiting many more new homes along the 55 mile route around West Sussex and East Hampshire, including schemes by Pallant Homes, Berkeley Homes and Crayfern Homes.
The journey ended in great style as the Dynamic Duo and their posse arrived in Chichester to a very warm reception and some well deserved refreshments.
